One of the newest social media apps is called Clubhouse and it’s the latest craze in audio-based media! Although it was initially just for iPhone users, it has recently expanded into Android as well.
Another unusual feature of Clubhouse is it’s currently invite-only, just like many real-life clubs. You need an invitation from an existing user in order to gain access. Once you’re accepted as a member, then you’ll receive extra invites to pass onto others.
During COVID, Clubhouse has become extremely popular because people can have conversations without being face-to-face. You can join any conversation (aka rooms), since Clubhouse is designed to be public.
Clubhouse has developed a distinct base of influencers leading the charge! Although various celebrities use Clubhouse, influencers are not restricted to being celebrities. Clubhouse influencers tend to be individuals with magnetic personalities who attract listeners because they come across as interesting and provide excellent value. They don’t necessarily have to have fame on other social media platforms.
Now, in regards to generational influence, many Clubhouse influencers come from Boomers, Gen X, and Millennials. It is very much unlike Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Typically, each platform has a different generation ruling. This is probably reflective of Clubhouse’s general audience.
Basically, your profile picture and bio is the other key for success! Have your headshot be colorful and holding an object to stand out. Then, there’s a specific format that can help you gain followers, thus resulting in influencing. The first three lines are the most important, it’s your headline and chance to captivate people. Then, be clear on the other sections of your bio such as purpose and mission, fun facts about you, contact information, etc.
So, would you like to be on this app? Do you enjoy moderating or being a guest expert for an audience? Then, what are you waiting for?!
